Clearly Obama meant to recognize the Mosques good standing in rebuilding the community after a previous natural disaster, trying to smooth things over. The mistake he made was not consulting with the people connected with the beheading so it was a healing statement from everyone together, but he deliberately skirted any association with that which appears as denial or enabling instead of addressing the fear and pain and offending those who were left out of this decision. Of course this looks wrong, sane with the Mosque trying to rebuild after 9/11 too close to the site, what do you expect but to come across completely wrong. Have some sense, at least consult with the people and reach agreement so there is no offense or misunderstanding.

According to the guy's parents, he was never like that until he started going to that mosque. After spending time there with radicals, he turned into a hateful Muslim who wanted to kill those who wouldn't convert. There are mosques beyond our own borders, as well.

And those have been producing a bumper crop of Beheaders and, more importantly and alarmingly, those who support the Beheaders, publicly or privately.

The tragedy of 9-11 put most of our own (US-based) mosques into Quiet Mode for a long time - understandably.

Now, with the advent of ISIS-ISIL, and territorial gains and military victories for this new Caliphate-wannabe, we are seeing the first glimmers of Radical Muslim recruitment from our own shores, and still others who adopt the mannerisms and mentality of the offshore mosques, within their own communities.

Rather like the Amerikadeutscher Volksbund - with Radicals looking to emmigrate to the Vaterland (Caliphate) and encouraging their families to answer the call of blood.

Islam is a hybrid political-cultural-religious system - not solely spiritual in nature - alien-to and quite probably ultimately incompatible with The West - it is not to be trusted, and it is to be watched, as a matter of public safety.

There is no point in going overboard with Alarms or Warnings but it is even more dangerous to believe that mosques are not a very realistic potential recruiting platform and facilitation device for the offshore advancement of Islam in its various manifestations, with an eye towards strengthening its hold upon our own society and culture and nation.

Islam has a tremendous P(ublic) R(elations) problem in The West at present, at least amongst those who are capable of perceiving the very real dangers from this vector.
