A bit hyperbolic...Trump mobilized Marines and the National Guard to protect federal personnel who were being assaulted, to prevent property damage to federal buildings, and to ensure safety and uphold immigration enforcement.

Invaders? No. Illegal immigrants, (surprisingly a misdemeanor)? Yes. I have committed a lot of misdemeanors over the last 70 years, as have millions of Americans, more often not caught or charged, as mostly involving speeding on the highways. I have never had the Marines called out or Army, (which, when activated, is what the National Guard is, unless under Federal Governor activation), or ever heard of it. I did get a 32Mph in a 30Mph zone on Fort Knox, and yes, it was a Federal Case, in front of a Federal Judge.

It is of note, I do, have no earthly idea why illegally crossing the US border, is not a felony. But, I don't make Federal law.

Putting Marines and active army into US cities, is indeed a hyperbolic act. 6 Waymo taxis burned, nobody killed, 576 arrests by PD and CHP, No Federal Buildings blown up. burned or even taken over by a mob, as back on January 6, and federalized troops weren't even used there.
