Obviously, the current administration will make that determination based on the correlation with their ideology and agenda. Not cool. And what if there is diversity of opinion on what are being called "facts"?

Obama's comment is premised on the assumption that the opinions of one side are established facts when that is almost never the case. What's more, who should we look to for the facts, the government? The government is the largest purveyor of misinformation and Obama, having served two terms as president, should know this.

This is why, for me, the principles of the First Amendment are sacred and paramount. Never, never, never should opinions be quashed even if we know they are wrong or misguided. Once you establish that precedent, it is only a matter of time before genuine, reasoned opinions are suppressed.

Donny did not have to create anarchy. He chose to. A lot of it is his antagonistic politics, running a thrill up the leg of his cult, while he ushers in fascism to the limit he can, which is still being established. Plus it is centered in California, and he hates the governor as a politician, anyway.

But, that actually takes time, and quickly stops in order to show results for the cameras, especially if given the rights to a hearing. If you are going to state a goal of 3,000 arrests per day, concentrating on starting with the criminals goes out the window, as you need numbers, and the actual criminals hide. You start with the low-hanging fruit, snatching anybody that looks foreign, (especially brown skinned), in a target rich environment, where they aren't hiding (hiding to conceal criminal activity). They are simply going to work, bussing tables, washing dishes, cleaning rooms, working on farms, working for contractors, mowing lawns, simply trying to live and feed families. Sometimes mistakes will be made and people with adjudicated rights or even natural-born American Citizens ICE should never touch, but we'll sort them out later. Or maybe we won't, if we shipped them straight to a foreign prison, we paid for, so we could deny appeals. To make it worse and scarier, you have it done in unmarked cars and vans, no warrants, with personnel masked to conceal identity, like storm trooper thugs or gang thugs, armed to the teeth. Shock and awe, people! MAGA loves shock and awe. Chaos, manufactured to order and delivered in the evening news.

I am against illegal immigration, 100%, as I am one of those that goes by the law, and believes anybody coming into the country should come only through official ports of entry and allowed in, only after investigating, but Joe Biden fucked that up (as I have written here, many times, since day two of his presidency, not that it was working perfectly, but he literally, chucked out the safeguards, for God knows what reason. I can tell you it wasn't to get voters (at least in the short term) as all states do a pretty good job of barring/preventing aliens from voting, at least in Federal. Elections.

Since the census is used to allocate congressional seats in the House, the democrats wanted as many people in a given blue state as possible to avoid losing representation. And in some places, illegals can vote in state and local elections and that can make a difference. Some of them might have voted in the presidential election, albeit without their knowledge if you catch my drift.
