The business of business is to stay in business and increase productivity to create profit. There is no demand for new hires, therefore, business is not hiring. Obama is facing an unexpected jolt from liberal Democratic lawmakers, including members of the Congressional Black Caucus, who are unhappy with his administration's pace of efforts tackling the unemployment rate, which is a whopping 10.2 percent and expected to rise.

The CBC, in particular, say Obama officials have not done enough to address the severe economic problems in the black community. Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif, reportedly issued a warning Wednesday that the 43 members of the caucus are planning to vote with the GOP to derail a number of Democratic bills if it isn't addressed.

Right on, the government does not create jobs in the private sector, if they want the private sector to create jobs the government needs to stop taxing them so much, quick scaring them to death with the Health care takeover and forget all about Cap and Trade which will put further tax burdens on business. That's the way government can help, but you are absolutely correct, government creates NO jobs in the private sector. Government is parasitic in nature, it depends on business and the working people to support it, not the other way around. But with this administration, Obama thinks it's the other way around and he has his cart before the horse on his economic policies.

He needs to re-take econ 101 and come up with a new plan.

His huge porkulus package didn't create jack shit. I'm still looking for that JOB that was created. Anyone seen that sucker anywhere????? How many Republicans signed off on a 787 BILLION dollar so-called stimulus bill that really wasn't. Under the guise of this will create millions of jobs-- Obama & Democrats have imposed their flood the basement economic tactics-- with a lot of pork & nonsense spending. Hell they're already talking about another stimulus bill---

What democrats refer to as a stimulus bill are UNEMPLOYMENT CHECKS & the continual extensions of them.

To create private sector jobs in this country you stop the ridiculous finger pointing at business & you get off of their backs with taxes or the "threatening of them with higher taxes." Business just cuts back & holes up when there is an administration that is anti-business.

In fact, this admininstration should lower the corporate tax rate tommorrow. Now that would be real economic stimulus.

Again, government DOES NOT create jobs in the private sector, government needs to promote job growth by getting the hell out of the way and quit penalizing them with ever increasing taxes to support their socialistic agenda. Then you will have job growth, until then you won't.
