You're ignoring what Congress would immediately do with any new revenue and what the rich would immediately do with their wealth and income. If everything is going so great, why can't the federal government balance its budget? Why is FEMA short of money to help the areas devastated by the hurricane? I'm not going to college, not sending any kids to college and can afford my home, so that's a non-starter if you want to wail about those.
