President Barack Obama has quietly cancelled a politically risky plan to meet this week with Egypt’s new Islamist president.

The plan was cancelled amid a wave of riots and attacks in Arab countries that have damaged Obama’s campaign-trail claim to foreign policy

The cancelled visit with Morsi was mentioned in a Sept. 23 New York Times article about Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi, an Islamist who now governs the Arab region’s most important country.

I'm sure he sent a private message that he will have more "flexibility" after the elections. Then they will be best agenda buddies. :eusa_whistle:

Either obama got cold feet at being so blatantly pro muslim or his campaign funding appearances are more important.

Every move this guy makes is calculated around the election. But there's time for The View!

Gee, I thought Obama was part of the brotherhood...:ack-1:

There's always the possibility that obama has informed Morsi that all of Morsi's demands will be met so there's no need for a meeting. We get Egyptian demand and American capitulation, what's to discuss?

hmm, a leader would've used that opportunity to tell him to either drop the warrants on innocent Americans or do without the American funding. Or at least say something about the warrants, ****, do a jig for him, do something!!

the daily caller is a biased site

And here all this time I was under the impression you like facts and truth? :eusa_eh:

The only "facts and truth" she likes are the ones she agrees with.

Barry is to busy going to those 40K a plate fundraisers to worry about Egypt, Morsi or the Arab brotherhood.

Once elections are over he'll get to it.

Oddly, I would have far more respect for this man if he would have stuck to his principles and went forward with the meeting.

Obama is more concerned with appearances than results. He felt that this meeting was important-otherwise he would not have scheduled it. He should have acted like a leader and stuck to his agenda and went forward with the meeting.

Instead he caved to partisan politics so he would "look" better and not have to explain himself.....

That is what weak, inexperienced, failed leaders like Obama do; they apply situational values that they readily change for political expediency, rather than sticking to firm values that do not waver in the face of the slightest criticism. He's a thin skinned political opportunist.....

Bullshit you would cap on him no matter what he did
