Obama Still Plans to Speak to Planned Parenthood, Which Performed One Abortion Every 94 Seconds in One Year

President Barack Obama has rescheduled his speech at the Planned Parenthood event in Washington, D.C., from Thursday night to Friday morning, but the president will still be addressing an organization that performed one abortion every 94 seconds in one year.

According to its latest annual report for 2011-2012, Planned Parenthood Federation of America and its affiliated clinics performed 333,964 abortions in fiscal 2011. That averages one abortion every 94 seconds.

Pro-life groups have protested Obama’s speech in light of the murder trial of late-term abortionist Dr. Kermit Gosnell. Closing arguments in the case are scheduled to take place on Monday in Philadelphia.

On April 18, Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania held a gala where the head of the local affiliate said the focus should be on the “high-quality services” they provide, according to Philly.com:
