Comcast, time warner, road runner, etc. are all KNOWN for advertising unlimited internet access but limiting the flow of bandwith depending on what they relegate as "suitable" despite advertising unlimited internet access. The goal of net neutrality is to ENFORCE the advertised "unlimited" part.

I don't need to read the wording of the bill to know what the "intent" of it is. I know if you read the entire transcript of his commencement speech, on two other occasions he singles out "cable news"(fox news), and talk radio, and we know their aren't any liberal radio talk shows left to speak of. All you have to do is listen to what he saysand he tells you exactly what his intentions are. Like I said earlier, I'm almost positive you and your friends weren't just sitting around last week talking about the "resrictiveness", or the "lack of free flow" of the Internet.

So you haven't read the bill, but you somehow know the intent of it, despite this obviously being the first time you've even HEARD of net neutrality, despite it being a part of the internet's lexicon for years now.

Also, yes, I was actually JUST talking yesterday with someone with comcast who is going through that EXACT scenario of getting their bandwith capped or their P2P clients being blocked without comcast actually examining the packets and seeing if they were downloading illegal material (which they were not). All it takes is a cursory search of google about comcast, time warner, road runner to show how ******* necessary net neutrality is.
