NY Times: How Has Biden Become So Unpopular?

Weatherman2020
That's easy. All one has to do is look at the mess Bidung had made of our border. A border Trump had handled quite well. Then add the mess Bidung made in the Stan and its easy to see why his popularity is headed for the cellar.

Did any of you dipshits read the article? It’ll was an article on the polarization of America.

One of the most consistent findings from the past 20 years of public opinion research is that each new president is more divisive than the last. George W. Bush was more divisive than Bill Clinton; Barack Obama was more divisive than Bush; Donald Trump was more divisive than Obama; and Biden may well end up more divisive than Trump, at least in terms of approval rating by partisan affiliation. Some of this reflects circumstances, some of it reflects the individuals, but most of it is a function of partisan and ideological polarization. Modern presidents have a high floor for public opinion but a low ceiling.
This is a major change from the 1970s and 1980s, when the public was less polarized and numbers could swing from the low 30s (even the 20s) to the high 60s and beyond. At the peak of his popularity, in the wake of the Persian Gulf War of 1991, George H.W. Bush had a job approval rating of 89 percent, including 82 percent among Democrats and 88 percent among independents. Those numbers are just not possible in today’s environment.
Biden’s slide is noteworthy, but it is also exactly what we should expect given the structural conditions of American politics in the 21st century. But this cuts against the unstated assumption that a president should have an approval rating above 50 percent. It’s an assumption that, as Sam Goldman, a professor of political science at George Washington University, observed, is “another example of how we’ve adopted the deeply exceptional midcentury interlude as our baseline — partly because it remains our vision of normality, and partly because that’s when reliable data start.”

Which makes Biden the worst of the worst Presidents ever.

This is the attitude that has driven the Democrat party and our country so low. Democrats will pay the price for having no integrity, honesty or pride in future elections.
You act as if this is the 1st time an American soldier was killed in the line of duty. And before you say , "Yeah but this was Biden's fault", by your logic you could then easily attribute each and every soldiers death directly to whomever is President. LOL at your idle threats about future elections. We still have 3 more years of laughing at people like you cry about things like the President using the wrong kind of mustard or wearing the wrong color suit.

I warned the media last Nov they would be overwhelmed trying to cover for Biden's screw ups. The man has a 48 year track record of being wrong ffs.

Who cares. He's not running for a second term. Probably wasnt going to from the beginning. People will forget about Afghanistan just like they always forget.
What the hell does that mean? The real evil is the Vice President! That thing is deplorable as it comes. We all know it. She was fronted to us. And we are getting closer to having enough of it.

You're equating killing people due to COVID confusion and incompetence, killing people by promoting a free for all on our southern border, killing people with a totally un planned withdraw from Afghanistan etc. to choosing the wrong mustard or suit? Way to trivialize the downfall of your country.

It sure is interesting how people of your ilk's minds "work". I didnt bring up any of that except Afghanistan, which was being talked about. I hardly think the death of 13 soldiers is going to be the cause of the downfall of our country. You live in a fantasy land if you think there is a "free for all" at our southern borders. And the cause of the Covid confusion are the nut jobs using animal de-wormer medication, not the people promoting human vaccinations. And as far as bringing on the actual downfall of democracy, just look at the attempt of Jan 6th. THOSE are the real traitors bringing this country down. But dont worry, we'll gladly put those terrorists behind bars.

You'll continue to sit there and doing nothing. Three more years of Kamala. Have a great day!

That's funny. It looks like you don't even comprehend your own post. Join the club.

No I comprehend what a wrote. The exit from Afghanistan is a nothing burger in the political landscape. Dont worry, you'll find something else to clutch your pearls about soon enough.

Who cares.
A nation of angry people that this idiot has deceived us and made a shamble both of the Middle East and our foreign relations.

People will forget about Afghanistan just like they always forget.
Really? This recent poll does not look like people are forgetting:

How is it that people would be willing to forgive this trasvesty of bungled incompetence, indifference and lies, yet still anguish over a weather map from two years ago because someone marked it with a possible alternate hurricane direction it did not take? Or a video made nearly 20 years ago? No, we will never forget one of the biggest foreign disasters in the history of the USA.

I'm beginning to believe it isnt a coincidence that it's republicans that seemingly have never opened a history book. Both of these quotes from you are pure hysterics and show your ignorance of history. I thought for you Benghazi was the worst disaster to ever befall mankind? LOL!

You also seemingly need to open a dictionary and look up the word "will".

I can't imagine the lengths left loons have to go to defend Biden.

Must be a struggle
Who cares he's not running for a 2nd term. But people like me get to listen to "people" like you claim things like the exit from Afghanistan was the worst thing that has happened to America on foreign soil in almost 250 years of American history. Reading comments like that are better entertainment than going to watch a stand up comedian.
