Sure they were invited and told they would be allowed to ask 1 prescreened question. Aren't town halls supposed to be unrehearsed and spontaneous? Just like all most all regressive events, that one was scripted.

Right, but it was the reason the NRA gave for declining the invitation. Would you have gone knowing the dear leader was going to continually bash you and you knew you would only be allowed 1 prescreened question and no other responses?

Now if the debate was between LaPierre and Bill Clinton, my money would be on Clinton since I recall him taking on a full house of Republicans laughing at him during a state of the union address and Bill putting them in their place.
