I'm smart enough to recognize a deflection ^^^ and non sequitur.
I'm smart enough to know that the SLA and the Branch Davidians 2nd A. Rights didn't help them against the LAPD in the former case, and the ATF in the latter.
I wonder how long westwall would survive if he and his toys went up against the full force of the Federal Force. What do you think, westwall, how long?
[Emphasis mine] That's exactly why the 2nd Amendment (and the rest of the Bill of Rights) exists. The COTUS was designed to limit government power over individual rights and liberties.
The COTUS was signed and ratified two years before amended by the Bill of Rights. They were a product of compromise, something The Congress of today has tossed under the bus. "In September 1789, the first Congress of the United States approved 12 amendments to the U.S. Constitution and sent them to the states for ratification....
"On December 15, 1791, Virginia became the 10th of 14 states to approve 10 of the 12 amendments, thus giving the Bill of Rights the two-thirds majority of state ratification necessary to make it legal."
Bill of Rights is finally ratified - Dec 15, 1791 - HISTORY.com
Compromise was necessary for not all of the founders agreed on every item in the Original drafts and even if a bill of rights was necessary. The differences led to the political parties, the first, the Federalists, as early as 1787 and the Democratic Republicans under Jefferson a few years later.
