Now the Washington Post Admits Trump Did Not Incite the Capitol Riot

Riiiight....thousands of rightwingers descended on the Capitol randomly and w/o forethought, and a rowdier, more determined subset of them, out of the blue, decided to attack the Capitol and lay siege to its inhabitants.

Yeah, that's what happened.

Now the Washington Post Admits Trump Did Not Incite the Capitol Riot

BY MATT MARGOLIS JAN 20, 2021

Excerpt:

With the second bogus impeachment in the books, the Washington Post has finally seen fit to admit that President Trump did not incite the storming of the U.S. Capitol on January 6 with his speech, acknowledging that it was, in fact, planned in advance.

The article, published Tuesday, the day before Biden’s inauguration, declares in its headline “Self-styled militia members planned on storming the U.S. Capitol days in advance of Jan. 6 attack, court documents say” and opens with the following paragraphs.

The obvious is finally admitted, Trump never incited the riot.

I knew that from the start since reading the transcript of the speech.

That doesn't appear to be what the WaPo was saying. PJMedia? Please.

You didn't read what WAPO wrote, that's your problem not mine, you also ignored what CNN said last week about it too.

Your party bigotry's is why you are a rapidly dwindling believer in the Trump incitement nonsense.

Quote the part where WaPo absolves Trump.

excerpt:

He used troops — and senior officers — in clearly political events, at times referring to "my generals." One senior officer, who is not authorized to speak publicly, recalled that in his dealings with Trump, the president was surprised to learn the military is apolitical.

Moreover, Trump brushed aside a military justice system that found service members guilty of war crimes, granting them pardons.

Trump "was constantly undermining civilian-military relations around the bounds of what is acceptable behavior," says Peter Feaver, a Duke University professor who focuses on those relations. "This, combined with the fact that he has a tin ear for all things in the civil-military domain, means that Trump did lots of damage to this crucial pillar of the republic."

Aaron O'Connell agrees. He was a Marine Corps officer who served in Afghanistan and in Obama's National Security Council.

The "biggest thing," says O'Connell, who now teaches at the University of Texas, is Trump's pardons for Navy Chief Petty Officer Edward Gallagher and Army 1st Lt. Clint Lorance. Both were convicted of war crimes by the military.

"They were not close calls on the merits," O'Connell says. "Why get involved with this? It only hurts the military, hurts the rule of law and hurts the image of the U.S. as a law-abiding nation."

It could go either way ... so don't believe for a second you or I could get away with that ... the President maybe ... pretty stupid taking WP's opinion on the matter ... just saying ...

Where in the article does the WP state Trump did not incite them?

How in the HELL could Trump incite a riot at the capital with people from MANY STATES AROUND IN ALL DIRECTIONS while he was STILL FUCKING TALKING? These people had to
plan in advance to even go there, several days in advance.

How long has Trump been talking about this? Riling up his base? Telling them to go to Washington?

Telling people to go peacefully to Washington is not inciting violence. Sorry. Because the media and Dems find it useful to repeat the same lie over and over does not make it so.

Now if you can point to any language where Trump told folks to storm the Capital, destroy property, or physically harm others I will freely concede the point and admit I am wrong.

Self-styled militia members planned on storming the U.S. Capitol days in advance of Jan. 6 attack, court documents say

"Self-styled militia members from Virginia, Ohio and other states made plans to storm the U.S. Capitol days in advance of the Jan. 6 attack, and then communicated in real time as they breached the building on opposite sides and talked about hunting for lawmakers, according to court documents filed Tuesday."

They impeached him using his words from the Jan 6th speech. Now they're saying it was organized days in advance of the speech, meaning it had nothing to do with it.

Think about this.....these people had radios, military gear, etc. You don't get that stuff spur of the moment from a speech the president is giving at that same time. That takes days to get that stuff together AND travel to Washington and organize in advance of the riot.

Nothing PROGS say makes sense. Common PROGS simply parrot with no thought behind it, often because they're lazy but always because they're easy targets. The narratives they parrot often provide clues though, such as for antonyms, projection, confessions and so forth.

Anyone that heard his speech knows he said to peaceably go to the capitol....this was as big a hoax and fraud as the elections were....if you libs want to be stupid have at it...stop trying to spread your stupidity here.....

Did you notice the Proud Boys turned on Trump with a vengeance calling him a weakling.
