So now that Republicans pruned voter rolls where they could, and will be watching for voter fraud, we'll see where the total number of votes ends up in 2024. Back to normal, or 30m more than average, i.e. a new normal due to mail-ins.

What you are not understanding is that there is no "normal" anymore. We have a whole new generation of youngsters just old enough to vote for the first time who will be adding to the numbers. The Harris campaign's get out the vote efforts have far exceeded Trump's also so there is liable to be record numbers of first time voters as well.

Republican's desperation is obvious as these voter purges prove but again, these desperate tactics are another thing that could delay the final election results. If a single eligible voter is denied their right to vote because MAGAts purged them from the voter rolls mistakenly then there's a lawsuit and a challenge to the vote total and election result.
I think there are already court challenges claiming that voter roll purges this many days before an election is in violation of The Civil Rights Act of 1964.

So you see, Republicans are kind of funny whining that elections drag on too long...when it is usually Republican antics that cause the delays.
