The Palestinians have never wanted peace. In an effort garner peace with Hamas, Israelis moved "all" Israelis out of the Gaza strip. The Palestinians weren't being oppressed. Billions of dollars were given to Gaza for infrastructure improvement. Not a dime went to that, only to tunnels, arms, munitions and rockets, placing those munitions and rockets in schools and civilian residences.

As for those Jews that left Europe after World War II and immigrated to Israel, and not many convert to Islam, they are the very distant ancestors of the original founder.
