This is tribalism at its absolute worst. The herd mentality takes over and the blinders get put on. Rand Paul already exposed Dr Fauci a couple of years ago at a Senate hearing where he read Fauci's emails discussing gain of function research at the Wuhan lab and Fauci sat there and continued denying his own words. Just last year,
Fauci admitted to making up the six feet apart rule in public places. Our own government pushed social media to censor critics of COVID doctrine. The Democratic Party and some Republicans became absolutely wed to these narratives however, even when the cracks began showing. Now, they don't even have the integrity to show up and admit they were wrong about some things. It's no wonder trust in government is so low, but as long as the American people continue to tolerate it when their side is guilty, it will continue.
