Simple: they don't actually believe in the sanctity of the election. They believe that there are certain people who shouldn't be allowed to vote: namely those who lean traditionally to the left.

That's why the latest 'GOP voter outreach' has consisted of doing everything in their power to make voting more difficult, more costly, take more time, in hopes of reducing the odds of people voting democrat.
