Considering the backlash and crap they often get when they come out, having a pride celebration seems fitting.

If you think they are depraved, fucked-up sexual perverts, then don't attend any pride events. They are not mandatory.

It would have been pointless. You might as well say it's not fair that we are biologically wired to desire the opposite sex and it's only when something goes wrong that we don't.
