montelatici,, et al,
Is this all you have?
Begin was the leader of the Irgun. How many Palestinian civilians and British do you figure Irgun killed?
(COMMENT)
The Irgun has not been around for more than half a century. It has not posed a threat or take the life of an Arab Palestinian for more than half a century. This is not what we would call a current threat.
Menachem Begin, was operating in a completely different political landscape, under a different set of political rules, and against a varied and generally larger threat than of a much more volatile nature and bloodthirsty perspective.
• Remember, the Irgun was disbanded before the Fourth Geneva Convention even went into force in 1949.
• Remember the Jewish Immigrants had to suffer multiple riots
(organized by the Islamic Clergy) and clandestine attacks
(mounted by the Black Hand) Arab Palestinians.
• Remember the Jewish Immigrants had to face the
Army of the Holy War and the
Arab Liberation Army led by former Arab Palestinians Nazi Officers during the Palestinian Civil War.
Why don't you advance your arguments forward seven decades and talk about the event of today that have a chance of promoting peace. Forget the nonsense and whining of Arab League and Palestinian wars and battles that have been relegated into history.
•∆• What have the Arab Palestinians done since the turn of the century to advance the peace process?
Most Respectfully,
R
