I was saved in 3rd grade. Off balance and squatting at deep end of pool. Some guys ran by. I was slightly brushed but it was enough to topple me over into the deep end.

I landed on the drain (deepest spot in pool) even facing the deep end. Couldn’t even reach the surface. And my swimming skills sucked. I tried to cup my hands and kick. But I’d sink right back down.

I was seriously thinking I might drown and just then a pair of hands grasped me at my armpits and hoisted me to the surface. One little lift and push later, I was back where I had started from.

The neighborhood guy who saved my life was (no joke) an Eagle Scout).

So, people do get saved.

Sorry. I don’t believe in a literal lake of fire or God sending me to a lake of fire.

I believe hell is being eternally separated from God. Being separated for eternity all alone may seem like a lake of fire but it is not a literal lake of fire. And I don’t believe God separates himself from us. I believe we ask God to remove his spirit because it is too much for hardened hearts to endure. The heart or soul or essence or spirit or whatever you want to call it must be trained to accept love.
