Both parties supported the covert war we wage against Iran by arming Iraq in the 1980's The booting our ex ally in Iraq out of Kuwait had public and political support. They all supported the the invasion and occupation of Afghanistan, There was less bipartisan support for the Iraqi invasion and occupation. Obama escalated the war in Afghanistan, with no success. Obama's request to take out Syria's WMD was denied by Congress. Biden didn't start any new offenses. Benedict Donald of course unilaterally choose a surprise attack and assassination on Iranian positions and leadership while he was in the middle of negotiations with the Iran. (Kind of like the war crime Japan carried out on our base at Pearl Harbor.) No Congressional support for Benedict Donald's excursion. More importantly hardly any pushback from the Neo-GOP in Congress.

I just realized that I overlooked the part about not only did Trump say that there would be no new wars, he said that there would be no more wars with him as president period. However, I'm currently alright with the war we have right now and I find it to be necessary. I just hope that it doesn't drag out and turn into World War III at some point.

WWIII is unlikely as no one is really on Iran's side and they certainly aren't making any friends in the Middle East by firing missiles everywhere in the area. If there is, it would be a different kind of World War as it would be many countries against just one country - Iran. I just don't see China and Russia stepping up to the plate to be in a Middle East War against the US, especially with Russia already having a hard time with their own war against Ukraine.
