No more money to Ukraine or Israel . Let’s end homelessness in America.

We already have too much of a good thing and its killing us

But I dont expect a radical swing in the opposite direction

I’ll settle for a gradual coming to our senses if even that is still possible
We could have done "gradual" maybe 30 years ago. Now it is too late.

Check it out, the Kremlin agents here oppose giving weapons to Ukraine.

Who would have expected that.
The military is short on recruitment. Most of it from the Deplorables who usually join much more than the Progs do. Get all those Progs who are Prog Ukraine to go get into the service. And then demand to go fight.

I am all for ending homelessness and helping the poor. Unfortunately there is too much political pressure not to. I myself try to help the homeless out and have been apart of many charity organizations during my lifetime, often being poked fun of by conservatives for throwing my money away to "drug addicts". It is a shame the way the homeless are sterotyped as. I am all for a more socialist society where we funnel money down to the poor and homeless, but unfortunately there seems too much political pressure not to even though I feel this would make America a better nation. Top 1% of US Households hold more wealth than the bottom 50%, redistributing some of the wealth would make sense, but the elite will never let it happen without force.

Even people making $20/hr are homeless. My wife and I barely survive living in a very old small 100 year old house that is falling apart.

There is socialism in America. Unfortunately it’s for the extremely wealthy rather than for the poor.

Our country is pretty well screwed.

"Hey, lets turn the United States of America into a woke debt ridden Socialist Shithole with open borders, what could possibly go wrong?"
“The similarities between the late 1980s USSR and present day USA are uncanny — the endless lies, the corruption, the hollowing out of institutions, the censorship, and the decrepit leadership that is despised by the public.” — Dr Toby Rogers

Russia is both historically and currently an aggressive imperialist expansionist state gorging itself on its weaker neighbors.

Left to their own devices the Russians would be at the English channel within a few years and we'd be facing a hyper-power.

The West learned in Munich in 1938 that appeasement and the abandonment of friends and allies carries a huge price-tag.

The United States learned during that same time frame that the American Isolationism of the 19th century no longer works.

That means intervening when our close friends and allies face existential threats from the outside not of their own making.

Like threats to Europe and its border regions.

Like the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

We stop Putin now in Ukraine or we spend our own blood in Poland and Romania and Germany and the Balkans later.

And - if we can stop the Russians by-proxy - then, so long as the Ukrainians are willing to stand-up to Russia, we help them.

The Russians have proven themselves to be far less formidable in modern conventional warfare than anyone would think.

After all, they have the Second-Best Army in Ukraine and are being held-back by the brave people of a much smaller country.

We need to continue to serve as the Arsenal of Democracy in connection with Ukraine and to help these valiant people.

Doing so is in our national interest - tactically - strategically - politically - and historically - it is the absolute right thing to do.

Dream on. We’re headed for an authoritarian Hell. Much of it is already here.

Rather than the Rule of Law, we have a government of threats, intimidation, and browbeating. “Government of the people” defaulted into “government for the people,” which degenerated into perennially punishing people for their own good. Twenty-five years ago, Supreme Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg warned against permitting federal agencies “the extraordinary authority… to manufacture crimes.” Entrapment schemes proliferate as G-men fabricate crimes to justify budget increases. The FBI, pretending that rosary beads could be extremist symbols, is targeting traditional Catholics across the nation because of their conservative moral values. The FBI entitles its legions of confidential informants to commit more than 5,000 crimes a year, dragging many unlucky bystanders to their legal doom. The number of inmates in federal prison increased 500% since 1980, and America has the highest incarceration rate in the world. Politicians are more anxious to control citizens than to protect them. More people are busted each year for marijuana possession than for all violent crimes combined, while the futile War on Drugs causes more fatalities than ever before.

Every recent administration has expanded and exploited the dictatorial potential of the presidency. Former President Richard Nixon shocked Americans in 1977 when he asserted during a television interview: “When the president does it, that means that it is not illegal.” But Nixon’s slogan is the Oval Office maxim for the new millennium. Presidents now only need to find a single federal lawyer who says, “Yes, Master!” President George W. Bush’s lawyers secretly decided that neither federal law nor the Constitution could limit the power of the president, who could declare martial law or authorize torture at his whim. President Barack Obama claimed a prerogative to assassinate Americans he labeled terrorist suspects. President Donald Trump boasted of “an absolute right to do what I want to with the Justice Department.” In 2022, President Biden proclaimed that “liberty is under assault.” But he was referring solely to a few court rulings he disapproved, not to the federal supremacy he championed for almost 50 years in the Senate and the White House.

The authoritarian trendline in American political life is more important than the name or party of any officeholder. “One precedent in favor of power is stronger than a hundred against it,” as Thomas Jefferson warned during the American Revolution. Unfortunately, there are a hundred precedents in favor of government now for each precedent in favor of liberty. There is a “No harm, no foul” attitude towards violating the Constitution, and Washington almost always hides the harm. The sheer power of federal agencies such as the FBI is becoming one of the gravest perils to American democracy

And just like that Repukes give a shit about the homeless, when for years they balked at even tossing them crumbs for assistance.

The fucking hypocrisy of you assholes is breathtaking. You're not going to propose giving a fucking red cent to the homeless if aid to Ukraine is ended, so who do you think your bullshitting?

FDR there is a muslim, not a Republican.

Palestinians and Russians have never attacked Americans. We get along greatly with these people. And whatever issues they are having in their conflicts is thousands of miles away from us. At worst maybe during the Cold War some Russians and Americans fought each other in proxy wars. Well, there is no more Soviet union. There is no more communism in Russia the Cold War has been over for decades.

It’s completely deranged to support fighting against Russians or Palestinians. You see because when America invaded Iraq course we all know Russia didn’t give Iraq $30 billion worth of the best weapons on the planet, there were no Palestinians fighting for Iraq when we invaded in 2003.. There were no Palestinians fighting for Vietnam when we got into the Vietnam war.

Not to mention the countless number of Russians and Palestinians who are Christians, who have western values who are men and women of honor.

Not to mention World War II the 25 million Russians who fought on our side and died for the Allied cause.

Not to mention Nazism in Ukraine. The tops friendly market white supremacist shooter from buffalo was influenced by Nazis and Ukraine. He had all sorts of Ukrainian Nazi ideology and symbols.

We could end homelessness in America with the 100s of billions of dollars we’ve given to Ukraine and Israel.
Another poster who supports Russia and Putin.

I aint a Republican for the hundredth time. I voted for Trump because he was the better option in 2020 and he is a better option in 2024.

I’ve always been for helping the homeless, and I’m for many traditional Democratic values, like opposing abortion, ending the death penalty, universal healthcare, bringing back the middle-class to America. You realize the power of wealth and we’ve given hundreds of billions of dollars to countries like Egypt, Israel, Ukraine, you realize that a tiny portion of money could be used to homelessness.

Rather than telling people what their views are, you should try and ask them. Have a nice day.
If you think Trump is going to allocate funding for the homeless if that lunatic is reelected you're sadly mistaken.

If Trump is reelected he'll hand Ukraine over to Putin faster then you can say "Zelensky was blackmailed by Trump".

Imagine Johnson & his cohorts wanting to turn Ukraine over to Putin after thousands of them have been murdered in cold blood & subjected to war crimes such as rape & torture, but that's Trump & his lackeys such as "god lover" Mike Johnson's plot.

That is why we need to do away with all welfare, subsidies, grants, entitlements, foreign aid, military assistance and bailouts. So that nobody, rich or poor, can be welfare queens.

$7.4 trillion the filthy ass Federal Government will spend this year makes a lot of shitbirds very wealthy. Just think how many people are going to get rich just on Potatohead;s Environmental Wacko subsidies, as an example.

I don't want any more of our money to go to Ukraine or Israel. That won't do anything to solve homelessness. That's along the lines of all the protests about all the money being spent on the Apollo program when there are people starving. We stopped that program. No effect on starving people. THE GOVERNMENT DOESN"T SOLVE PROBLEMS.

Agreed, but Trump was no different.
