This woman died participating in a riot violently attacking the U.S. Congress in session, when the Secret Service already had drawn their guns to protect the people inside the Chamber. She deserved what she got and is no hero in this country although putin might give her a posthumous medal.

Even if Floyd was a "lifelong criminal," he wasn't rioting or attacking the U.S. Government, and the guy responsible for his death probably did not know him or his history. We all are aware that right-wingers have a filthy habit of trying to find some reason why a murdered black person somehow deserved it, even if it was that he stole a pack of chewing gum when he was ten. This has been attempted in just about all questionable deaths of black persons.

The Capitol was under pandemic restrictions such that no one was allowed inside except on official business. The building was surrounded on the outside by police barricades, and the people who tore them down or stepped over them (on video) already passed the point of "peaceful protest" and committed a criminal offense even before they reached the Capitol steps.

There is no comparison between this woman's death and Floyd's.

There is no equivalents in this scenario. Floyd was under control and killed after being under control. MS. Babbitt was a part of a mob intent on doing violence and was not under control of law enforcement. That being said white people are also killed by police that should not have been. In hilliard Ohio this happened a few years ago where a white engineering student was killed when he should not have been killed. The police need to be held accountable when ever they take a life that is not an immediate threat to others no matter the color of their skin. That is a fact. If police are not held accountable for their actions they will continue this behavior and yes it can happen to you or one of your loved ones. That is also a fact. While disgraceful things are happening with in law enforcement, we must remember that the lions share of our police force are good people trying to do their jobs. Please remember this. We need to hold the bad apples responsible for their actions with out demonizing them all. Civilian review boards are a good start but as long as white people do not care when it happens to a black person or vice versa the bad apples will get away with murder. All instances of police brutality need to be addressed no matter color or political affiliation must be addressed or it could happen to you.

1. Murder implies that the shooter intended to shoot the victim to kill. Do you have information that proves that beyond a shadow of a doubt? No you don't. Funny, sorta, that you're claiming the exact same thing the BLM people are. And you're both wrong.

2. Is it a minor offense to break into a federal building, much less the Capitol Building itself while Congress is in session? I don't think so.

3. Bad/Illegal conduct by anybody does not justify bad/illegal conduct for anyone else. I know that some democrats have tried to rationalize the rioting, violence and destruction that occurred for several months in many of our major cities. If we do the same thing thing we are no better than they are, and I will not stoop to their level. That isn't courage; it's stupidity and a reckless disregard for law and order that most of us on both sides of the aisle do not support.

4. It is about God Damn time that we as a society recognize that there are fringe elements on both sides AND on neither side who merely want to steal, burn and destroy property and hurt other people for whatever reasons that may not actually have anything to do with politics. Some do maybe, but many don't and if anyone resorts to this kind of destructive behavior then they need to be incarcerated. I don't give a fuck why they did it, it cannot be tolerated.

Two unarmed people were killed by law enforcement officers while committing minors crimes. One for passing counterfeit currency and the other for breaking and entering into her own own house....The hair splitting details in between really don’t matter.
