Sounds like you're describing europe after WWII schmap, you remember europe? the place where trump is "disentangling" us and our troops that have been there since the end of WWII...
...For anyone who cannot see the big picture here, europe is an inconsequential piece of real estate to the world now, little in the way of raw materials no bread basket [why Ukraine is so important to them and russia] no dependable source of energy [which is why windmills are so important to them and third world countries] and the US is in the process of swapping them out as partners with the middle east replacing them...europe is dying and the mid-east is almost ready to step in and fill their shoes ...as for Iran, trump/we need to be very careful there, this is winnable but all it takes is to sucker one carrier through that strait and sink 5000 men to the bottom of the gulf...I read an article years ago on this very subject and a couple chineese military officers were discussing this very thing...the chineese are in desperation mode right now, as is Iran, we need to do this right.
