There you go. Unless they violated some federal law. Another bungle by the law makers; we need a federal LIMIT to elections of state and national consequence unless with GOOD REASON to need longer, I say 2 days is plenty long enough. Otherwise soon, democrats will be counting out for six months.
At 2 days, if CA could demonstrate they had 92% of all ballots counted and their mayoral or gubernatorial election was STILL just too close to call and they had to have a few more days to be sure, then that would probably be a valid excuse.
THING IS: this is child's play, easy stuff, not rocket science--- I cannot believe we are still having these problems with so basic a governmental process as holding an election---
---especially when we were SOLD the whole electronification/computerization of our elections over paper ballots as a means of assuredly speeding up both our election counting AND our election integrity.
Sure hasn't worked out.
Before the electronic revolution in elections, when he had paper ballot elections where I live, NO ELECTION EVER WENT UNDECIDED/UNDECLARED yet by no more than 2AM the next day.
It was unheard of to go to bed at 4AM and still not know who won.
