For the last several weeks the problem here...and throughout our nation....has been the refusal by many Trump acolytes to actually READ Mueller's report and....instead.....have relied of Barr's biased interpretation to "absolve" the guy who hired him to be hius stooge......
Since reading the report has proven a difficult task for most Trump followers, I offer just a few lines from Mueller that would.....at least to objective and sane voters......offer some measure of hesitation before reverting to the mindless support of someone who does not deserve such support....
For example, regarding "collusion," Mueller.explicitly states that "we applied the framework of conspiracy law not the concept of ‘collusion.’".
If one carefully reviews what Mueller wrote, the more appropriate conclusion is that Trump may be "innocent" of conspiracy.....but not necessarily exonerated from "collusion."
Further, Mueller makes it CLEAR as to which entity.....either the DOJ or Congress..... should utilize his investigation's findings, especially on the issue of obstruction, Mueller offers this:
"We concluded that Congress has authority to prohibit a President's corrupt use of his authority in order to protect the integrity of the administration of justice."
Finally, there is this sentence in the report that is of major importance (something that Barr conveniently leaves out in his little summary):
“If we had confidence after a thorough investigation of the facts that the president clearly did not commit obstruction of Justice we would so state.”
For the last . . . well, forever, the problem here - and throughout our nation - has been the refusal of leftists to think and communicate clearly and honestly.
Mueller applied the framework of conspiracy law because "collusion" ISN'T A CRIME. The left has insisted on using the word "collusion" in place of the more correct "conspiracy" both because they're illiterate nitwits who don't know the English language very well, and because they're deliberately hoping to muddy the waters to where they can make anything an "Aha! You're guilty!" moment, whether it is or not.
So no, Trump isn't "exonerated of collusion", because of the simple fact that HE DOESN'T NEED TO BE.
Further, it is not and never has been Mueller's job to decide who has authority to do what, with his findings or with anything else. The responsibilities of all the entities involved - Special Counsel, Attorney General, and Congress - are already spelled out very clearly in the law. For him to take the time to state this, as though someone asked him and as though he has the ability to make this fact - and particularly in regards to a case where he didn't find sufficient evidence of a crime - is an unprofessional and unethical insertion of his own political agenda into the report.
Finally, Barr didn't "leave out" anything about the conclusions from his summary, conveniently or otherwise. You may not like that he didn't phrase it with enough insinuation for your tastes, but he made it quite clear what the report's conclusion - or lack thereof - was in that case. At bottom, all this sentence says - which you would know, if you spoke English even as well as my 4th grader - is "We can't say one way or the other, so we're punting on our job".
