No charges for seller of gun used in killings

Which is morally wrong. ALL gun sales should require a back ground check.

No they shouldn't....the guy was a career criminal, there are only 8-9,000 gun murders each year in a country of 310 million people with over 310 million guns in circulation....that means that almost all the guns are never used to commit murder...so background checks aren't necessary....better criminal control is necessary....

The real issue is that buying a gun has legal restrictions, such as a background check. Obviously, in this case there was no background check. Nothing was done to control who that gun went to. If there were strong restrictions in place when buying a gun, perhaps these innocent victims would still be alive.

There are 8-9,000 gun murders a year...mostly by gangs in inner cities...do you think they get background checks before they go on a drive by....gun background checks do not stop criminals and they do not stop mass shooters....so the only thing they do is inconvenience the 99.9% of law abiding gun owners who don't commit crimes with guns....

Why do you guys keep insisting on something that doesn't actually do the very thing you want it to do....?

We need to return to use of the electric chair, and use it early, and use it often.

It is no secret who grows up to be murderers and robbers, Hell, most experienced Jr. High Principals can pick them out years before they actually kill somebody.

Surely Charlie Manson gave enough clues in lockup before he was 14 to have just been locked up for life, or, fried.

Preventive measures are necessary to head off any kind of epidemic.

We have an epidemic of punk killers, to be dealt with.

What we have been doing in the era of "Progressive Corrections" has not put fear or respect into the criminal class, that is for sure.

S
o you don't think selling a gun to a felon should be illegal eh?

No, it should be illegal and it already is...and it doesn't prevent 8-9,000 gun murders a year....however, since it is a law, when we catch the killer we can lock them up....that is how the law is supposed to work...what anti gunners want is Tom Cruise style "pre-crime" where the background check prevents future murder....that is not going to happen, and the 8-9,000 gun murders a year prove it.....

I have no problem with background checks between private individuals. I do have a problem that every one of those schemes has a gun registration component. That kills them with me.
Gun registration is an infringement on our 2nd Amendment rights and illegal.
Give that speech to the guy manning the metal detector the next time you want to go to an NFL game, amusement park, school, etc. with your gun. Those rights were being infringed upon before the ink was dry on the paper.
