Once again people are treating the misappropriation of funds as a normal, everyday, accepted practice by Democrats / politicians, resigned to give this / this criminal a pass while condemning his actions.
His crime does not need to be minimized and ignored, but. instead he needs to be arrested, charged, and convicted. Holding criminal politicians accountable - every one of them everytime they do this - is the only way to stop it.

If all politicians had to fly commercial air, did not have their armed security, did not have their high-walled security fences...
If politicians like this thief could be / were charged / convicted for misappropriation of tax payers funds every time they did this AND had to personally repay (or attempt to) the money they stole, even if it meant personal assets were seized and sold off to pay as much of that money back as they could?
