no, because the sun is not getting less active than it has for the last year or 2, with the exception of the few spots in the past month.
The sun is staying where it has been, not dropping output, you second tier asswipe
And if we get a couple of years that exceed 1998 and 2005 from an El Nino, where does your theory go then?

Old Rocks may be misinformed on global warming, but he doesn't deserve such inane personal attacks...
Would it not be ironic if, on one hand the majority of the scientists are right that our CO2 load is warming the earth, but then the sun turns dim and we end us having an ice age instead?
And people think God has no sense of humor.
He loves planetwide slapstick, I think.

He just loves planetwide slapstick, I think.
"Eeee! We is a victim of soy-cumstance"

Well, the three month La Nina that started in 2006 seems to be hanging on. And on and on and on.
Making a projection of something proves nothing. Right now, in the real world, we are seeing rising CO2 and falling temperatures. Given this combination, where does YOUR theory go?

Always.
That and I'm a big fan of the three stooges, a reference ("soy-cumstance") that you may not have recognized.
What amuses me in this debate is how convinced both sides are that their experts are right, Neser.
We cannot even agree on whehter our globe is warming or cooling.
There's not much room for rational debate given that impasse.
