Catholicism was always a heresy. Jesus's parables were always filled with patriotism, and the free market.
Of course they were.

The hate is all yours but conservatives prefer the free market to wealth confiscation and redistribution. While I don't have any Bronze Age beliefs I do know that Jesus in the Bible did not teach taking from one and giving to another. Paying taxes you owe is not the same as promoting taxation, especially one the size of wealth redistribution. No one should be surprised that a Pope who came along and more closely reflected the teachings of Jesus than most of his predecessors would be hated by conservatives.
yes, he did support gvt collecting from people to give it to other people in need.Do you feel Jesus Christ was a 'commie' too?
Did Jesus advocate government forcibly taking stuff from people and giving it to other people? Or did he call on people generously to give of their own free will?
during his era, not only were the Jews taxed by Caesar, they were taxed by their own Jewish government through tithing....it was mandatory....so i guess that means forced.....and Jesus supported it, it was the Law....
Not doubt he'd like the minimum wage to be raised in the US, too.
It costs the taxpayers a quarter of a trillion dollars to help workers that are paid too little. Wouldn't it be better if their employers paid them a decent wage?

What a disappointment. He clearly does not understand the lessons of Christ, the most important being that people have the free will to do good or not. It is not the place of government to take from Peter to give to Paul.
This Pope does not understand the concept of charity.
Nah. It's you that doesn't understand the topic.
The Pope didn't force any government to do anything. He just stated what the bible said and hoped people would follow. He never forced anyone to do anything.
You remind me of the Michelle Obama crowd who went crazy when she told people they should drink one more water since 75% people in America are Chronically Dehydrated. They tried to call her a communist too.
I think what you are missing is Communists use force to control the people. The pope and other people in significant positions are using their popularity to be good examples in hopes that some will follow.
Or maybe you can state where the pope controlled something about the topic.

It's solely their responsibility to increase their income, not Walmart's. It's also not the obligation of the taxpayers to provide them with government cheese.

Workers wages are at an all time low, Corporate profits are at an all time high. But if the rich buy some media to convince small brains that they don't deserve more than what they earn, if they earn, we have TODAY.

Wouldn't it be easier for people like you briarpatty to just come out and say; **** them poor working people. I got mine, **** them.
I mean, that is what you are saying. But for some reason you want to sound nice about it.
Why? Just come out and say what you really think. "**** em if they are poor. It's their own damn fault" That's what you really mean. Right?
Did the Pope give all of his stuff away yet? Just checking.

Wouldn't it be easier for you just to say that you feel entitled to take what I earned? "Gimme, gimme, gimme" is the libturd motto. I earned every dime I have, and the fact that some welfare slut couldn't keep her legs together and squeezed out a puppy doesn't obligate me or Walmart in any way to feed it.
It's one thing to help people of your own free will. It's another for thugs like you to shake me down at gunpoint and tell me I'm obligated to pay for the irresponsibility of other people.
Do conservatives realize what total assholes they look like for condemning a man of god for advocating for the poor?

Has anyone defined "legitimate redistribution" yet? What do you call taxes? At least some are legit...
