New poll shows what Americans really think of Trump's leadership – and personality

Trump is not winning anything. The majority in this poll say he's messing up the federal government.

New poll shows what Americans really think of Trump's leadership – and personality

A recent Pew Research Center poll – which nationally surveyed 3,554 US adults between August 4 to 10 – found that a majority of Americans hold negative views on Trump's controversial tariffs and "Big, Beautiful Bill," and 53% say he is making the federal government function less effectively.

The poll also found that approval of Trump's job performance as president has slipped, even among MAGA supporters, along with how Americans perceive aspects of his personality.

While most agreed that Trump "stands up for what he believes in" (68%), the majority also believes he is not mentally sharp (51%), doesn't keep his promises (56%), doesn't care about the needs of ordinary people (63%), is not honest (63%), and is not a good role model (70%).

The poll was taken after Trump reached the sixth month mark of his second term. Despite being inundated with countless controversies and scandals and steadily falling poll numbers, Trump has insisted that the period has established him as the greatest leader of all time, and claimed he is overwhelmingly loved by the American people.

No, but when thousands of protests are held daily against a president and his policies, people need to understand how that president is not liked, and neither are his policies.

There are vast numbers who approve of his policies. DC residents agree with enforcing the law. Most citizens agree violent illegal immigrants should be deported, and so on. The bottom line is, you found a poll you agree with, so you claim it's what people "really" think, even though it represents only a subset that actually do.

Vast numbers of people don't agree with his policies, and DC residents are protesting what he is doing. American citizens are being deported, illegals are being accused of things without evidence, and people are getting snatched off the street for dissent. So you are getting your information from sources that are biased right and extreme because nothing you posted is the truth. This is not the only poll showing that Trump and his policies are unpopular.

Vast numbers of people don't agree with his policies,
And vast numbers do.
and DC residents are protesting what he is doing.
And other DC residents approve of what he is doing
American citizens are being deported,
Names.

I'm merely pointing out that you're making a sweeping claim that isn't completely true. Some people don't like what he's doing, other do like it, and still others don't give a flying rat's patoot as long as they're left alone to live their lives the way they want to.

Everything you say is untrue based on facts. It's not some do and some don't, it's that the majority don't approve of what Trump is doing. And in more than one poll.

The truth is that much of America is displeased. Funny how suddenly polls are
your friend when you have no real factual arguments against something when the poll shows that your fake God stinks.
The actual truth is that Trump remains POTUS and your butt-salving poll doesn’t amount to shit.

In order for your narrative to be true, all would have to oppose his policies, and that's simply false. Some do and some don't, like I said. I am correct.

Yeah, I lived through those times too, I pay cash for my homes so interest rates don't affect me either, but they affect those around me. I care about them, and how their lives are affected.
Oh, I care, but know they could, did, and can live with it, as I did, back in my working, family raising early days. Sometimes life gets tough, balancing the unlimited wants with the limitations of job incomes and job opportunity. The 80s had much higher unemployment, to go with the much higher interest rates than we have come anywhere near in the last 6 years. I saw a headline on Drudge today, saying inflation rears its ugly head again. I hope it doesn't get bad, but am glad, I still have no personal need for credit, still same income streams. I most likely will not feel it this time, unlike the carter/reagan years or the Bush crash. I learned from experience, and mistakes well.

Well there you go. The only thing left is the tomato juice and it’s still the same as well. Life with Trump is grand.
Oh, yeah, man! Just livin' the dream! :auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg:

Oh I see, you misread the intent there. Any meat products would have been acceptable. I’m trying to save you from a vegan lifestyle.
Never understood those vegan people. From what I have read, they, don't get greater longevity or long-term health on average. Veganism, apparently, does not make up for genetics and environment. They just get a diet that sounds like it sucks and the ability to hold their pinky out, as if elite, when claiming to be vegan. Just a personal opinion, though.

Thanks for showing your true colors. The left hate election results and want to impose their rule despite how the people voted.

Poor little commie, it’s going to be a long three and a half years.
Get over yourself snowflake. Last November's election results are obsolete now because Trump is not only losing the support of his die-hard base but he's already lost the moderate Republican voters that helped him squeak out his narrow win last November.
You see winning is only half of it, afterward you have to govern...and people are realizing now that he really sucks at that.
You poor MAGAts.
Evem when you think you've won something you're still LOSERS.

I am glad you enjoy Trump and the 40% rise in wholesale vegetable prices, of last month, coming to a store near you.

I stopped into the grocery store after I left the gym earlier today to pick up a few things. One of the things I pick up and regularly eat are those jars of Pepperoncini. They are now $5.49 at Albertson's. My jaw dropped. They were $4.99 the last few times I bought them and couple of years ago they were only $2.99.

Middle aged, white rent-a-mobs are protesting. Blacks in DC who have been the victims of over 90% of the murders in DC like the fact Trump is protecting them. Your Cult doesn't care about blacks dying in the street, and it is protesting Trump trying to stop it.

DC is over 50% black. How many black folks you see in these protests, moron?

Well that certainly takes reality away right Nostril?
Just scream "LIES!" and it all goes away.
Feel free to show us your evidence Trump isn't President until Nov 2028, Short Bus.

GO!

The tariffs have worked their way through supply chains and newly-ordered inventories are in.

No predictions here, but I don't know how this doesn't hit over the next month or two. The numbers coming in look anywhere from bad to very bad. Either American companies take a massive hit to earnings or they pass at least some of it on.

There are only so many moving parts here.
