New Poll Is A Disaster For Obama.

President Barack Obama has seen an erosion in support for his foreign policy plummet to an all-time low, according to a new Wall Street Journal/NBC poll released Wednesday.

According to the poll, just 37% of respondents said they approved of Obama's handling of foreign-policy issues, an all-time low. Meanwhile, 57% said they disapproved, an all-time high.

And the foreign-policy approval rating for Obama might actually be artificially high. The poll was conducted before the crisis in Iraq, a situation for which Obama has been roundly criticized, bubbled up and grabbed international attention

The people that view Obama unfavorably forget the mess bushcheney left us with. Biggest mess since republicans screwed things up and FDR had to roll up his sleeves to make everything right again.

Americans don't want to have anything to do with Iraq, and very little to do with the Middle East. On those matters, the public is way ahead of the politicians, including the President who they elected with two resounding wins over hawkish Republicans.

Threatening action on Syria, involving ourselves in Libya, sending a few hundred troops to Iraq to secure the embassy instead of just closing shop and coming home, and the Bergdahl deal have given Obama this rating at the moment.

America is through and done with hawkish Presidents and administrations. If Obama were to come around and say that it's a fool's errand to stick our noses in the Middle East while mainly two factions engage in a civil war, his foreign policy approval would go up because that's where the public is at right now.

The Middle East is a sinkhole for any US administration's foreign policy numbers, just look at Dick Cheney's desperate attempts to save face in the public eye 6 years after leaving office with a 9% approval rating. He simply won't give up on his zealous stance that says we should be more hawkish in spades. Not even Fox News is putting up with him and his brand any longer.

Obama's is still more than 4 times that much.

When Obama was elected, the extent of his failure was suspected by republicans and denied by democrats. Now, that extent is known to both republicans and democrats. While he can't run for office again (unless he issues another executive order and try), there are plenty of democrats tied to his policies that ARE running for office.
