Disapproval of Congress Ties Record High at 86%

Americans' approval of Congress has fallen to 10%, while disapproval has climbed to 86%, tying the record high.

Huh, it seems that redstate missed a few details.

Republicans have driven most of the recent decline, with a sharp drop in their latest approval rating of Congress after surging to 63% in March 2025. By contrast, Democrats have consistently rated the current Congress poorly, and independents’ views have been relatively stable at a low level. Currently, 11% of independents and 3% of Democrats — essentially the same as the 2% record low for the group in August — approve of the job Congress is doing.


So yeah that 3 percent figure. That's the current level of approval that THIS congress has among Democrats, NOT the approval of Democrats.

Yes its not approval of the different members by the party, but approval by party of the overall Congress. Dems view total Congress at 3%. Republicans view Congress positively at only 20%, for the net 11%.
