It feels like the Terminator is rapidly approaching reality. We seem to be just skipping the benign robot applications of the Jetsons and going straight for death machines. Except for the toy vacuum robots that so many people seem to have. They seem pretty useless to me other than taunting people's pets

It's nothing but a rifle on freaking wheels with a camera. It can't work independently of human direction and it's probably a hundred times slower in reaction time in a combat situation than a skilled sniper. It probably isn't even bullet proof but it is expendable.
