New Inflation Data Is Worse Than You Think

Some of the price increases, especially with beef, are weather related in that farmers and ranchers can't feed as many so we have the lowest number of cattle heading to market this year since the 1960's
On an annual basis, headline PPI increased 3.3%, the biggest 12-month move since February and well above the Fed’s 2% inflation target.

Services inflation provided much of the push higher, moving 1.1% higher in July for the largest gain also since March 2022. Trade services margins rose 2%, coming amid ongoing developments in President Donald Trump’s tariff implementations. In addition, 30% of the increase in services came from a 3.8% increase in machinery and equipment wholesaling.

It doesn't appear that they care about inflation.

Pretty amazing to watch.

Like it or not, to try to get some manufacturing to return here, we have to go the tariff route. And private money is most of it. Progs with Joe were using public money to get some manufacturing and as we have seen many of those who received money took it and ran with it.

What was the CPI for July? We were told that the consumers would be eating any inflation caused by tariffs. That doesn’t appear to be the case.

Services are largely related to pay so people are making more money for their labor. Trade services also includes warehousing costs that may be connected to either real estate costs or acquiring extra leased space for warehousing stockpiles. I think much of what you are seeing is related to companies starting to prepare for the downstream tariff impacts.

It was arguably the #1 issue in the 2024 election. But then the media was pounding the table about it back then. In truth, Biden's policies did not have the impact on inflation, a post-COVID global phenomenon, that Dotard's are having and will have.

There was quite a lot of pull forward in economic activity in preparation of the tariffs. Imports accelerated in order to get goods here to avoid them.

Funny how priorities change. And I keep overestimating them -- I assumed they would think inflation was a negative.

Looks like Trump’s “easy to win” trade war is winning… higher prices for everyone. The latest Producer Price Index shows the biggest jump in wholesale prices in three years, a clear sign that those tariffs are acting like a hidden tax on American businesses and consumers alike. Remember when he promised Mexico and China would be paying for this? Yeah, turns out it’s coming straight out of our wallets instead.

Rising wholesale prices mean higher costs down the line for groceries, goods, and everyday essentials. The “Art of the Deal” apparently means tanking the economy while telling the base it’s all part of some 4D chess plan.

Lefties jerking off when the country does badly.

HOW FUCKED UP YOU ARE.

Every single one of you hoping wars never end and the economy collapses are real dirtbags. Just fucked in the HEAD TDS.

THE PHARMA MEDIA LITERALLY FUCKED YOUR BRAINS OUT.

Wait, so higher costs means higher prices.

Wow.

Thats crazy.

Maybe those businesses can open factories here, or we can buy American made products.
Opening American factories is costly and leads to even higher prices.

This inflation is intentional by the Dems and the permanent state.

**** them all.

Inflation is cumulative. The 3% now is on top of the hyperinflation last year.

Biden caused this by shitting on fossil fuels and massive spending.

Don’t let these cult ***** try to blame Trump. It’s a lie and they know it.

I like the dumb cult ***** who say inflation in down off last years 10%,so things are great.

ARE PRICES DOWN?

NOPE!

THEN **** OFF.

Much of this inflation is from Biden’s policies on fossil fuels.
Just a few of the many comments you made. Search is simple. I type inflation and your comments predating the election. So does that make you a dirtbag?

BTW, the item prices have not changed. Oh, I want one of you fkers to show the prices of one product over the previous four years. Go for it. You all act like a price has never increased before. See, that's how we know how fking buttass stupid you all are.
