Celebrities pick up planking: Kristen Bell, Ellen Page, Flavor Flav among stars trying stunt craze

A new craze is hitting celebrities - and they're taking it lying down.

Kristen Bell, Ellen Page and Flavor Flav are among a handful of stars trying out "planking," an Australian stunt fad that involves being photographed while lying flat on random objects.

"If planking isn't the greatest single thing the human mind has ever conceived, I don't know what is," Lost creator Damon Lindelof wrote on Twitter, posting a picture of himself trying it out on a coffee table.

Facebook 'Planking' Blamed in Death - Aussie man falls to death from balcony posing in weird trend

The odd Facebook trend of "planking" has been blamed for the death of an Aussie who slipped off a seven-story balcony. The accident occurred as the 20-year-old man was apparently on the ledge trying to balance for photo of himself lying "like a plank."
