Ahh---- by law you are required to give her a break ever 4 hours but since you are working her 5 hours, you ought to give her one 15 minute break in the middle.

Giver her 300 three second breaks per five-hour shift and stagger them over the whole period, which amounts to fifteen total minutes. I doubt she'll be able to make it to the back/front door.

8 hour shift you must give at least a 30 minute break. But reasonable human beings give people up to a 15 minute break if they ask for it if you work at least 4 hours.

While I don’t think anyone “needs” a break in a five hour shift, is the situation such where it wouldn’t be a big deal if she stepped out for a quick smoke break?

Then says she needs a break
This was only 3 hours into her shift
