New: CBP Shoots and Kills Man in MN

I do know that. The video has been posted numerous times.

An officer had no weapon, reached in, took out a weapon. It's obvious what happened there.
Again. It doesn't matter. They're going to see whatever they need to see to defend their tribe. Even at the cost of their own morality, even at the cost of their souls.

So does that make it a justified shooting in your view? He didn't even have his weapon on him at the time they shouted "gun, gun, gun".

Nobody could hear anything bc all your friends were blowing their whistles

Oh wow now he didn’t even have a firearm!
Well yeah, of course he was disarmed when he was shot, that was the point…you idiot

So...he didn't have a weapon on him when he was shot because he was disarmed prior to being shot, like I said.

I'm glad you were able to get that cleared up.

Was Byrd's shooting of Babbitt also justified?
I question the shots through the side window but apply the same doctrine.

Once lethality is introduced in the immediacy of the situation......I side with officer preservation more times than not.

If Good had just stopped the car she could be protesting Pretti's death now. Honking her horn like no tomorrow.

Did they see a gun in his possession when they shouted "gun, gun, gun!". No, they didn't. Because he didn't have one.

These officers are incompetent and a danger to the community.

So Byrd acted appropriately in shooting Babbitt. Got it.

Coming back into the street after being moved out is.
He was filming at a safe distance, at least 10-15 feet away from their vehicle.

That is not an escalation. That’s a constitutional right.

You're claiming he never had a gun?

Tribe. You and Mac are twins

I don't think it analogous because Babbitt didn't introduce lethality - it appears she merely trespassed. She too went from peaceful protest and inserted herself in a LE confrontation and sadly found out you may not like the consequences.

The mob was actually assaulting officers and she chose, poorly, to lead that mob. The officer did not have much time to evaluate the threat level, so he shot the first person that tried to get through that window. The alternative was to sit there and get assaulted by the violent mob and, worse yet, allow our elected officials to get assaulted as well.

Byrd's shot was justified.

Apparently the street was closed off at both ends while they were making an arrest. Anyone in the closed off area is obstructing. That's why it doesn't look like an active protest. Yet here is Pretti, packing large and filming.

Another thing, when I first saw the incident, heard the shots and first thing I saw was that woman in red and at first, I the thought she was firing a gun.
Imagine what a cop is going to think/see.

Within Tueller distances and without a permit.

In Minnesota, a permit is required to protest in the street when:

  • Disruption of Traffic: A permit is necessary if the protest involves marching or parading on streets that would block vehicle traffic.
  • Large Gatherings: For larger public assemblies that may disrupt normal public use of streets or sidewalks, a permit is typically required.
  • Coordination with Law Enforcement: Obtaining a permit helps coordinate with law enforcement to ensure public safety and manage traffic effectively.

Don't really give a shit. Sad. Just like Good is sad. If she climbed through my window or hit me with her car I'd likely shoot her too.
