I had just assumed the ICE guards at the gate where the riot occurred had simply exercised great restraint in not gunning the crowd down, beaten them with billy jacks or something purely out of an abunbance of care because most of them were elected public figures who should have known better than to just show up somewhere unexpected and demand to get in, shoving and fighting like children putting on a big show for the cameras.
