The sovereign nation of Israel is comprised of Jews, Christians, Arab Muslims, Atheists and even gays, all of whom are treated as equals. Israeli Arab Muslims even serve as officers in the IDF and have Jewish enlisted personnel under them.
Now, here's the uncomfortable thing for the Israeli/Jewish haters. If you look at a huge map of the entire region which encompasses an area from North Africa all the way to Turkey, you will see that Israel is just this "tiny" dot of a nation, completely surrounded by nothing but Islamic nations (Muslims). The GAZA strip that the Israelis vacated years ago in the name of peace, is comprised almost entirely of Muslims. The Jews first moved into that "small" area over 5,000 years ago. Islam didn't even exist at that time and hadn't for another almost 3,600 years and Islam's stance then as now, was and is, "conquer," then by the sword and now with modern weaponry. The Muslims forced out the Christians and many Jews during the Crusades. But, make no mistake, up until what used to be called "Judea," was returned to the Jewish people by the UN Security Council in 1948, the Islamists in that area continued sporadic attacks on the Jews and others. The Jews that came from Europe after World War II, were descendants of the original inhabitants of Judea. It's like if Native Americans driven out of the U.S. and fled to Canada, came back and were given their own nation. Technically, because they are ancestrally related to the original founders of Judea, they are the indigenous people.
Islam has trouble accepting this and thus you have the ongoing conflict.
Again, look at the map and you will see the Jews are a very small minority who are fighting for survival and in war, non-combatants die, even outside of the country.
So, if you're going to stand with someone, it should be the minority which is comprised of Jews, Christians, Atheists, Israeli Arab Muslims and gays.
Not Shia Islamists who want infidels destroyed at any cost.
