Ok I am paying 100 bucks a month for Verizon

I need a phone but I piggy back the internet off my neighbors

Can I cut my costs ??

I really don’t understand how this works

I want only internet on my phone but I get it off neighbors band

If they cancel your plan due to non payment wouldn’t your phone still work when on a public WiFi?

Are you getting disability from the feds?

Vo IP? New to this what’s that mean? I’ve had my phone turned off due to lack of payment before, but if I was o a public WiFi I could still browse the i ternet and make texts and calls per usual. This was many moons ago though so I don’t know what’s changed or not simce

Wi-Fi phone service allows users to make and receive phone calls using a Wi-Fi connection instead of their mobile carrier's cellular service. This feature is available on many smartphones and can be useful in areas with limited or no cellular coverage

So in summary the Op could cut his costs by 100% since he only wants the internet which he gets from piggybacking his neighbors?

You are getting ripped off with Verizon. I had Cricket for $35 and now I got free Spectrum for one year, :)

In most cases for that you are still using the phone number of the carrier which is deactivated.

So Verizon wouldn't work. I seem to remember a free to use Google Number that could function for internet calling.
