What's your phone costing you?
I'm UK and I never subscribe to a phone contract. I always buy a new unlocked phone that will take the SIM card of any mobile operator. My last phone was £250 but the battery is now 90% crap. So I've bought a new £350 Nokia and my SIM only number is £3.99 a month. I can cancel at any time with no penalty.
£3.99 gives me 240 mins, unlimited texts, and 1gb of data. At most I use about 250mb per month because I'm usually connected to broadband.
My younger son, the stupid boy, used to be on a contract for the latest iPhone that was the best part of £100 per month, and contracts are normally 24 months / 36 months.
How does that compare to the US?
