'Trickery, deception and lies': Gov. Cooper blasts Republicans after surprise vote on budget veto override
So yesterday on 9/11 -- the republicans totally owned the Dems by holding a surprise vote to override the Governor's budget veto. Libs are so totally triggered, from the article:
"Democrats said they were lied to and specifically told no vote would happen Wednesday morning. Instead, Republicans held a vote with 64 of the 120 members of the House present. The vote ended up being 55-9 with the nine present Democrats voting against the override and vehemently objecting to the vote taking place."
House republicans have been wanting to override the veto for months but never had the 2/3rds majority to do so. So they used 9/11 as a perfect day to pull off this brilliant sneak attack -- they promised Dems there would not be a vote since most Dems would be at commemorations honoring 9/11.
However, brilliant mastermind Rep. Jason Saine (R-Lincolnton) called the motion for the vote saying "As a former firefighter and an American, I am appalled that anyone in our country would stop going about their normal business on this day. When we stop being a beacon of freedom, hope and democracy, then the terrorists win"
Governor Cooper and the Dems are now crying like snowflakes because they were outplayed by the republicans... what kind of dummy thinks playing by the rules is a winning tactic??? In politics, you do everything you can to win, whether you have to lie or cheat or steal, as long as you do it for freedom like the republicans have done.
