Well, NBC Sports will get its wish.

In the new America that is emerging, that great athlete will not only get a statue but will have his name on many streets and maybe even a city will be renamed for him.

And he may end up as President or at least Vice President.

Call me old fashioned by I tend to believe things like statues should be reserved for people with some sort of exceptional achievement. What’s Kapernick’s exceptional achievement?

Even now I want the major sports to collapse. Even if I show some interest in one of them. Colin needs to balance things out. A hitch in the military may have helped him.
