Got to think the executives are celebrating right now, popping champagne, the huge market Knicks team taking on the superstar Wemby. They did not want OKC back in it again.

Maybe the refs were told to lay off the flopping fouls, I don't know.

why would the Spurs have trouble at MSG? I there a mold issue?
Rabid fan base, bright lights, the pressure might lead to turnovers, they can't afford too many on the road there.

Wemby will get his, but his supporting cast have to play consistently well to win this series.

I don't see MSG being any more hostile than OKC's home court and they weren't phased at all.

We shall see, it's going to be bonkers in MSG, I hope they can handle it, I get to watch this entire series, I missed both of conference finals. I can't remember the last time the Knicks won it, maybe Phil Jackson was on that team?

SA has a really young team, which worries me. OKC has a lot of playoff experience, obviously. Castle and Harper are barely out of High School, can't be turning the ball over 20 times

Would be a good time for DeAaron Fox to do something, he's been so ordinary in this series.
It is amazing they pulled it off this year. This year should have been their learning year where they fail and it's heartbreaking and they use that heartbreak to win next year. Wemby so good and his young teammates actually stepped up and made their shots. Played good defense. And the OKC team did not step up. SGA did his job.

This is his teammates fault. Same way Denver fell apart. It wasn't Jokic's fault.

Jamal Murray (point guard), Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (shooting guard), Michael Porter Jr. (small forward), Aaron Gordon (power forward), and Nikola Jokić (center)

  • Jalen Williams (Forward, #8)
  • Chet Holmgren (Center, #7)
  • Luguentz Dort (Guard, #5)
  • Isaiah Hartenstein (Center, #55)
  • Alex Caruso (Guard, #9)
Caruso was amazing. Holmgren and Hartenstein did not do a good job. None of OKC's guys were amazing last night.

I knew this team was mid. It was not deserving of being back to back champs. Boring. Like Denver. Champs sure but great NBA champs no. Put them up against Magic, Larry, Thomas or Jordan? Or Golden State with Durant? No. Not if they let a young as hell team like the Spurs spank them. God I hope the Knicks pull it off. A monster has been created last night and it's name is Wemby. He will be even better next year? Jesus!

But I hope you're right. I will be rooting for the Knicks. Not seeing a lot of good matchups against Wemby tho. Maybe KAT?
The Knicks need Brunson, Bridges, Hart, Anunoby and Karl Anthony Towns to all play well. And so far these playoffs they all have played well.

The answer to that question might be lurking in the Western Conference finals. But for now, the Knicks look unbeatable as they rolled to their ninth straight win in the postseason Thursday night, defeating the Cavaliers 109–93 for a 2–0 series lead in the Eastern Conference finals.

So then they've won 11 in a row? If that was from when they were up 2-0, add 2 to 9. OKC should have overwhelmed this young Spurs team. Maybe the Knicks will? Can't wait to see.

The New York Knicks roster features a prime-aged, experienced core, with primary rotation players primarily falling between the ages of 28 and 30, balanced by a few younger prospects and veterans.

Victor Wembanyama at age 22, and Stephon Castle and Dylan Harper at age 21.

Spurs are favored!

I'm seeing early lines Spurs -225, NY +185, I expect that to change.
Hall of Famer and longtime Knicks villain Reggie Miller caused a stir by stating he believes the New York Knicks will be the favorites to win the NBA Finals, no matter who they play out of the Western Conference.

I think he's trying to jinx them what do you think? LOL

I watched most of the Western Conference final last night, and it highlighted an aspect of NBA play that disturbs traditionalists. Both teams were basing their winning strategy on making the most of "open three's" rather than working the ball to the bucket for good, high-percentage shots. This was not just at the end when OC was desperate to get back into it, but for the entire game.

A three-pointer is an exciting thing, and it contributes literally 50% more to a team than a dunk, but it is a low percentage tool, and reeks of desperation.

Wemby's impact didn't appear to be significant, but it was felt mainly in the things that didn't happen…shots in the middle that the offensive player just decided not to execute because of Wemby's massive presence.

Honestly, if the three-pointer were eliminated the quality of play would significantly improve. Too late for that now, eh?

It will be interesting to see the next matchup. The Knicks rolled over its completion in the Eastern conference. When they lose Game 1 in San Antone, the air may just come out of that inflated balloon.

Oklahoma has drafts picks coming out of the wazoo the next several years through trades. They had a couple of injuries which hurt.

I'm sure Holgrem is being torched in the local OKC media. He did miss game 2 with a left ankle strain. Dude needs to hit the weight room and put on 20 pounds, he just looks weak.

Yea, he needs to start lifting in the off season, his confidence looked gone in the clips I watched and hopefully he can get it back. Wemby has it all, though, but he will be seeing a lot of him from now on.

To think Vassell is the "old man" of the Spurs at 25 is scary for the rest of the league.
