For some reason the large opening in a 55 gallon drum is called a bunghole. The opening you refer to is called the anus. And if you are employing proper grammar when you refer to someone else's portal, you should always use the term "Uranus".

Very close and generally correct. It's a fence puller. You insert cable in the grip. The tighter you pull the ring on the far end, the more tightly it grips the cable (or barbed wire).
