Nadler announces sweeping document requests, says Trump obstructed justice

You may have heard people babbling about obstruction of justice, as you are doing, but not of any particular act that constituted obstruction of justice.
Wrong again! the people I heard -- many of which I somewhat listed for you -- pointed right to several very specific acts. Like, asking Comey to drop the Flynn investigation; then firing him on a false premise; then admitting on national tv that the premise was false; then bragging to the top russian spy in the oval office about why he fired comey and how it took pressure off of him; liketrying to interfere with and influence ongoing investigations y appointing friendlies to oversee them; like being complicit (or even active) in directing people to lie to investigators and congress...

Shall I go on?

Swatting down the false shit you are pulling out of your ass is like a full time job.

Not one of those, even if they were true, would constitute obstruction of justice. Obstruction of justice requires substantial interference in a particular case, and as you have demonstrated, there was none. Do you understand how stupid it is of you to imagine that you have found obstruciton of justice when after two years Mueller found none?

So, why can't Nadler subpoena these communications? Or is it that they can just ignore the subpoena? I can't find good info on this.

After 2 years of Mueller, the House is now the top law enforcement agency in the U.S?

Can't beat him on policies, afraid you're losing all future voters when a wall is built, worried about another Conservative Supreme Court Judge?

No problem, just harass and try and get rid of the president who was democratically elected.

Nadler announces sweeping document requests, says Trump obstructed justice

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, who would oversee any impeachment proceedings against President Trump, announced that he will submit more than 60 document requests to the White House and Justice Department on Monday -- a barrage that Nadler called the opening salvo in new and wide-ranging investigations.

Congressional Democrats have repeatedly promised to exercise tight oversight of the Trump administration since securing a majority in the House of Representatives in last November's midterms. But Nadler's comments signaled clearly that Democratic leaders are no longer counting on Special Counsel Robert Mueller's forthcoming report on possible Russia collusion to contain damning evidence against the Trump administration.

“Tomorrow, we will be issuing document requests to over 60 different people and individuals from the White House to the Department of Justice, Donald Trump, Jr., [Trump Organization CFO] Allen Weisselberg, to begin the investigations to present the case to the American people about obstruction of justice, corruption and abuse of power,” Nadler, D-NY., said on ABC News' "This Week."

He added that the goal of the probe was "to present the case to the American people about obstruction of justice, corruption and abuse of power."

Asked by anchor George Stephanopoulos whether he thinks Trump obstructed justice in the Russia investigation, Nadler replied: "Yes, I do. ... It's very clear that the president obstructed justice."
Trump isn't going anywhere unless he loses in 2020 and apparently the dems want to help him secure a victory.

The level of stupidity on the left is astounding. Yeah, the right wanted to impeach Obama and oust him. Those people were kept in check by and large. Unfortunately the left have no real leaders so their party is acting like a rudderless ship in an iceberg field.

He can subpoena anything he likes, but that doesn't mean the President can claim executive privilege for internal work documents, meaning it is none of Nadler's business, and unless Nadler can show good cause for asking for those documents, the courts will stand with the President.

the speaker of the House, a Democratic leader by any measure, says impeachment is off the table. So how do I square this real world fact with your rant?

Okay. But it's not true that the president can claim executive privilege over anything and everything at any time.. he also must justify such a claim. So I still have questions. I'll go see if I can find anything on it..

The writing is on the wall. The Dems are in for a hard landing.

Anyone who believed Putin was in charge of Trump while at the same time believing Mueller and the DOJ knew this but allowed him to nominate Supreme Court Justices and make other high level decisions for 2+ years are fools or worse.

Worse for Dems, their own lust for power and to remove Trump has actually opened the door to a 3rd Clinton run for President. She will walk in at the last minute and crush the pretenders.

That makes no sense on any level. Those people and institutions are bound by due process. Whether or not they believe it is not enough to remove a sitting president, or even to take action to start the process of removing a sitting president. What you just said is ridiculous and is in no way a valid comment on what evidence they do or do not possess.

What argument?
Your argument for your claim that the russian information campaign in 2016 had zero effect. I will be ignoring all forthcoming word salads that do not address this. i don't play these little games with quacks. You will either stay on this point, or I will ignore you.
Word salads?

You seem like to use that phrase.

Here's some word salad for you.
The media has been working full-time to help elect Democrats. If they would just report news fairly the Democrats wouldn't have a snowball's chance in Hell of winning elections. But what we see every day is criminal collusion between the Democraps and the media. And you think it's terrible that the Russians released Hillary's emails to be seen for anyone to read.
The fact is nothing in those emails was dishonest. They simply spelled out what Hillary was. The kind of rotten, dishonest, racist criminal that she was.

You're pissed everyone found out.
You literally think that's what was criminal.

It seems to fit so very often, around here. Lots of guys around here like to make themselves sound like experts in fields they have no education or experience in whatsoever.
The media has been working full-time to help elect Democrats.
Gotta stop you, there. I have some questions about the truth of this and why it matters.

For one, there is plenty of mainstream media that is biased right. Let's not forget which company just bought the lion's share of the nation's local stations. when you talk about, "the media", you might want to use some qualifiers. What does Fox News say? what does Drudge Report link? What does WOWO play all day?

Second: Either information campaigns influence people, or they do not. You seem to be claiming that, not only are some outlets in the bag for democrats, their efforts actually cause republicans to lose. Am I right about that? Otherwise, why would you care, right? So, what are you bemoaning, here? Are you bemoaning the fact that MORE media is biased left than is biased right?

Because... information campaigns work?

Third: How is it you have this magical ability to resist t"the media", but everyone influenced by them does not? Do you think you are smart, and they are all stupid?

Fourth: Now tell me the russian propaganda campaign didn't influence any votes, after answering all of the above. :)

I don't think the Russian Propaganda campaign influenced much of anything. Most people can't even remember when it happened.
However, we can see what the media is doing every single day. They're attacking Trump like nobody before him. They actually have some fuckers who think TRump is a Russian Agent.

The primary reason I don't go in for the media's crap is because I've been paying attention.

There are several types of voters:
  • Those that are well informed
  • Those that are easily misled because they are not informed
  • Those who are too stupid or illiterate to stay informed
  • Those who don't care enough to be informed
  • Those who are easy to be mislead because they are bigots
  • Those who know they are being mislead and don't give a shit

The media started crapping on Trump full-time once he won the election. They literally threw the kitchen sink at him. They used every opportunity to make him look dishonest and racist. They actually made people believe that Charlottesville proves Trump a racist, even though he had nothing to do with it. They also have people believing that stopping millions of people from invading our country is racist. They pulled similar stunts on Judge Kavanaugh, George W. Bush, Sarah Palin, or anyone else they choose to target. The latest trick was focusing on Trump and twisting his words. Trump said that N. Korea's Kim said he didn't know about the death of an American Student. So for a couple of days they featured all kinds of negative coverage about Trump's harmless statements on the matter. It's really not what Trump says or does that is the focus. It's always the bad feelings everyone has about it.

The tactic they use goes like this in a simplified example:

Trump could say the word "Blue" means America.....and the media would just say that everything about the word Blue is racist, dishonest, and only proves that Trump is a thug. The Democrats in congress join in saying "BLUE" is racist.

Then everyone else in the media repeats that "Blue" is racist, dishonest, and only proves that Trump is a thug dictator.

This is how they turned a red MAGA hat into a hat that signifies racism.

The Attorney General needs to look into these folks communications....emails, text messages, telephone calls, surfing histories.
Find out who's pulling the strings.
Also....they need to stop these envelope exchanges we keep seeing.

Trump did promise a transparent government. Watch the democrats fulfill his bullshit promise.

View attachment 248578

The first thing I'd if I were Trump since the Democrats want a play ball and have a truly transparent government is make all of the Obama presidency and information available with Hillary and Bill being the next in line.
