Still need more research as I don’t have a Time Machine

1) Djokovic
2) Federer
3) Nadal
4) Laver
5) Rosewall

6) Sampras
7) Poncho Gonzales
8) Bill Tilden
9) Borg
10) Budge

Other mention - Lendl , Connors, Mac and Agassi

The experts think Gonzales was a remarkable talent
But Pancho , not his brother Poncho .

We could discuss alternatives and position changes indefinitely without ever knowing the “True” list .
I personally would not include Budge or Tilden only because there is no way to compare that vintage with more recent times The same really applies to Gonzales though we are told he was a long way ahead of his nearest rivals .
I believe the list must include McEnroe but. I cannot immediately think of others who obviously warrant inclusion .

We will never know , for example , whether Laver at his finest would have beaten Djoko at his .
But they were all magic on their day . Imho

For sheer artistry and sublime brilliance I would like Lew Hoad at number 10 . On his day he was unplayable .
