E.T. held a JOB here in the United States? ... I don't think the movie showed that ... his visit here on Earth was perfectly legal ... are you suggesting E.T. was up to criminal activity? ... because unless the State Department has issued a ruling on the home planet, E.T. doesn't need a visa to enter the United States, although he does have to leave the United States after a few weeks (months?) ...

There were some FAA violations there at the end ... slap on the wrist and no fines ... same as you or I flying unregistered spacecraft through US airspace ... a slap and "good'day m8" ...
