I think that anyone who purports to be in favor of Marxism, should be sent to live a mandatory three years in a true Marxist nation (without their own funds) and then come back with their "experienced" opinion. Their choices should be limited to North Korea, which is literally, the purest form of Marxism, Cuba, Vietnam, Laos, or Venezuela.
The person should not be allowed to go to any Scandinavian nation. They keep claiming that those nations are "socialist," but their foreign ministers get a bit testy when that is claimed and they say that they are "free-market capitalist" nations with a few social programs....AND....the interesting thing is the companies/corporations are taxed less than the middle-class, to ensure a good economy.
