Yes, that is true, although recently researchers have discovered that people suffering from fatty liver disease are helped immensely by the drug. My transplant doctor ay the VA and I discussed this at my last visit, and he predicts that anyone diagnosed with fatty liver disease will be treated with those drugs and no longer need a transplant in the future. Too bad this was not known when my liver failed. They also are looking at a link between the disease and all veterans who may have been exposed to toxic chemicals, probably which was the cause of my liver failure. The disease is now found to be more prevalent in veterans.

Understood. Apparently, it works, but there are hazards. My wife and I both had episodes of illness relating to the drug. She stopped taking it. I haven't had any issues in months now that my dosage is stable. My best friend was also on it but had to reduce his dosage for his diabetes because he was getting ill from the medication.

In those countries with government healthcare systems, the wait times to see a doctor all seem to be a lot longer than here.
